experiences to people of all ages with a wide range of disabilities. Each week our students come from throughout the Bay Area to interact with their 1,000 pound "therapist" (and best friend) in a safe and secure environment and achieve goals never before dreamed possible. Our programs offer them the opportunity to focus not on their limitations, but on what they can do, and the results are extraordinary. Our services are open to any person with a disability who can benefit from this special form of therapy.
Equine Assisted Therapy consists of weekly classes during four 10-12 week sessions in our state of the art facility at the Riverside Equestrian Center in Petaluma with easy access from Sonoma and Marin counties, as well as San Francisco and the East Bay. Lessons are individually designed to suit each rider's particular need, ability, stamina, and are consistent with predetermined goals that are established in conjunction with parents, teachers, caregivers, physicians and other therapists.
