Each year, we ask you, our volunteers, to tell us what you love, and what we could improve. The great news is that you love more aspects than you want us to improve. Yay!
Here are some fun numbers:
- More of you found us through word of mouth (41.5%) than online (37.7%)
- More than two-thirds of you (67.7%) have been volunteering with us for more than a year. Almost a quarter of you (22.2%) have been volunteering with us for more than five years!
Here are some of the many statements with which you agreed or strongly agreed:
- The work is meaningful: 98.2%
- I would recommend Giant Steps to others: 98.2%
- I am satisfied overall: 94.5%
- I feel appreciated: 92.6%
The biggest area of concern was adequate volunteer staffing (is that an oxymoron?). Please know that Meghan is constantly recruiting and training, and we are adding new outreach opportunities. We hope you will continue to spread the word to everyone you know, as (back to the top), the #1 way volunteers find us is by word of mouth.
