The 6th Annual Giant Steps Charity Classic is a six-day, AA rated horse show that showcases top regional, national and international equestrians – from up-and-coming junior athletes to the best of the best, including Olympic competitors. Over $150,000 in prize money is at stake as horses and riders of all ages and levels compete throughout the week. The title events of the week are listed here.

- $5,500 Wild Turkey Farm’s Battle of the Sexes: A team of 10 men and a team of 10 women will go head-to- head, battling it out over a 1.20m speed course. The winner of each round is invited onto the podium to cheer on the remaining pairs. The highest number of men or women on the podium after the final pairing compete takes home the title, prize money and bragging rights. Wild Turkey Farm’s Battle of the Sexes is a crowd favorite and one of the most anticipated competitions of the year.

- Giant Steps Junior Team Relay: Teams consist of one junior rider (age 14-17) and one pony rider (13 and under). Together they will fundraise in advance for Giant Steps Therapeutic Equestrian Center and compete in a team relay.
$15,000 Eden Valley Stables Gambler’s Choice: All obstacles carry from 10 to 120 points according to difficulty. Each rider may choose to jump any of the obstacles, in any order and in any direction within a set time allowed. If an obstacle is knocked down, no points will be awarded and the rider cannot jump that obstacle again. The rider who obtains the highest number of points will be declared the winner. A complimentary catered dinner and wine will be served in the VIP throughout the evening.

- The 2015 Gala is presented by Colin Cowie Celebrations: Hosted in Sonoma Horse Park’s VIP, the Gala features a formal dinner, live auction and entertainment, a thrilling Six Bar jumping competition and an inspiring demonstration by Giant Steps’ deserving riders. The evening commences at 4:30pm.

- $40,000 Shaklee Grand Prix: An Olympic-level competition commences at noon. The best horses and riders from all over the Western United States, Canada and Mexico battle it out for Charity Classic’s top honor. Food is available for purchase. Grand stand seating is complimentary.
