The 2ndannual Giant Steps Charity Classic was a five-day horse show where the West Coast’s finest professional and amateur exhibitors  competed in fantastic events that  benefitted Giant Steps Therapeutic Equestrian Center. Horse and riders of all ages and levels competed and the profits of the entire show went to fund the programs of Giant Steps.

The title event of the weekend was the exciting Saturday Grand Prix Gala. The Giant Steps Grand Prix Gala was an unforgettable evening, featuring the exciting $25,000 Ecoverde Grand Prix competition, live and silent auctions, a Calcutta (horse betting) and a riding demonstration by some very inspirational Giant Steps riders. Superb dining byPark Avenue Catering, fine wines by Wilson Fleming Estates, Merry Edwards Winery and Domaine Chandon and Oro Pisco cocktails were enjoyed by the almost 400 guests that evening.

Volunteer Involvement

Thanks to the crew of about 50 volunteers who joined forces to produce the Giant Steps Charity Classic Grand Prix Gala. 
The results of their combined efforts were spectacular, as the Grand Prix Gala was an event where people were inspired by the riding demonstration of our Giant Steps riders, found unique and exciting trips or beautiful art pieces and sumptuous wine in our auction, enjoyed a fine meal and watched the exciting Grand Prix competition featuring bold and daring Olympians.
