Welcome to the 2017 4th Annual Giant Steps Charity Classic Junior Relay!

Friday, August 4th, 2017 – Grand Prix Arena

Start Time: 5:00 pm

It’s relay time! Teams will consist of two riders under 18. Together you will raise funds in advance for Giant Steps Therapeutic Equestrian Center, and compete in a team relay taking place at 5:00 pm on Friday, August 4th.

Teams create a personalized fundraising page via GoFundMe, email the page link to friends and family, post to their own Facebook/social media websites and receive donations for the Giant Steps Team Relay. The deadline for pledged funds is Friday, August 4th, at 1:00 pm. If you have cash donations, make sure to bring them to the Giant Steps booth by the VIP Berm before Friday. Booth is open 10-4, starting Wednesday, August 2nd.

The theme this year is Country Western, and you’ll be riding hobby horses that you’ve decorated (yours to keep!)–get creative with your team names and costumes! Yee haw!

There will be prizes for highest amount raised, best effort/attitude, fastest time, and most creative presentation (costume and hobby horse).

You’ll also win time off your score for raising the most funds for Giant Steps:

1st place: five seconds off

2nd place: three seconds off

3rd place: one second off

Once you’ve registered, raise just $100 to qualify to race and pick up your hobby horses. They’ll be available at the picnic area by the food truck, under the lattice, at the HMI Equestrian Classic at Sonoma Horse Park July 27 & 28, 1-3 pm. You must raise at least $100 to pick up your hobby horses. If you are unable to pick them up at the HMI Equestrian Classic, they will be available at the Giant Steps booth throughout the week of the Charity Classic.
